Europe’s Largest Security Trade Fair, Eurosatory 2026, Kicks Off

The prestigious international trade fair for defense and security technologies, Eurosatory 2026, has just kicked off in Paris.

Our editorial team is on site at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte and will be bringing you up-to-the-minute reports, exclusive interviews, photos, and first impressions from the most significant event of its kind in Europe and the world throughout the week. Eurosatory takes place every two years and runs from June 15 to 19, 2026. The main visitor days are Monday through Thursday (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and Friday (9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.). The event traditionally attracts thousands of experts, manufacturers, high-level military delegations, and representatives of armed forces from around the world. According to the latest data, over 2,100 exhibitors from more than 65 countries and tens of thousands of professional visitors are expected.

A Global Gathering Amid Geopolitical Shifts

The exhibition takes place at a time of significant geopolitical and industrial reconfiguration of global relations. Growing tensions in various regions, the need for higher operational readiness, and the rapid modernization of defense systems make Eurosatory a key platform for exchanging information and concluding concrete agreements. Organizer Coges Events emphasizes that the exhibition offers real-world solutions to current and future challenges facing nations and armed forces—from traditional ground equipment and unmanned systems to cybersecurity and hybrid threats.

Four months before the start, it was already clear that the 2026 edition would be a record-breaking one. All traditional sectors are experiencing strong growth, and the exhibition is moving beyond the traditional scope of the defense industry. New themes such as the digital and sovereign economy, industrial cooperation, open standards, and the resurgence of manufacturing are gaining significant traction. Eurosatory 2026 thus represents a paradigm shift toward an agile, reconfigurable, and robust deep-tech ecosystem, whose impacts extend far beyond the defense sector.

Strong Czech Participation at Eurosatory 2026

This year’s edition is also marked by significant Czech participation. The fair will be attended by Minister of Defense Jaromír Zůna, who will participate in key negotiations and bilateral meetings. He will be accompanied by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Sechter. Pavel Růžička, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies’ Defense Committee, will also be in attendance. The Czech defense and security industry will be represented by the AOBP, led by President Jiří Hynek, and NSKB President Martin Lank will also be in attendance. This political and professional representation underscores the strategic importance of the Czech defense industry in the European context and the effort to strengthen international cooperation and export opportunities.

The Czech pavilion and separate exhibits or delegations feature a number of major domestic manufacturers, including STV Group, Colt CZ Group, CSG, SVOS, Omnipol, DSS, Silesia Defence Systems, Ray Service, and many others. These companies present a wide range of products here—from small arms, ammunition, armored vehicles, and specialized equipment to advanced communication and logistics solutions. The Czech participation thus demonstrates the growing competitiveness of the domestic industry and its ability to offer modern, reliable, and often innovative solutions to current security challenges.

Four Strategic Themes for the 2026 Edition

This year, the organizers have defined four main pillars that run through the entire exhibition:

• Supremacy in the multi-domain space and digital issues – cyberspace, space, artificial intelligence, disinformation, and information operations. The emphasis is on the integration of all domains (land, sea, air, cyber, and space), robotics, drones, and tactical mobility.
• Comprehensive security, risk prevention, and crisis management – technologies for monitoring, coordinating, and protecting the population during natural disasters, health crises, or terrorist threats.
• Industrial resilience and war economy – sovereignty, rapid production, and long-term resilience of supply chains.
• Humanitarian and environmental dimensions – through the HELPED (Humanitarian Emergency Logistic Project and Eco Development) program, which focuses on demining, decontamination, logistics, and the restoration of areas affected by conflicts or disasters.

News and Attractive Zones

A major attraction will be the expanded helicopter zone, which will highlight the role of air mobility and unmanned systems. Furthermore, technology clusters focused on drones and robotics, cybersecurity, CBRN protection, and, newly, defense finance and economics will be strengthened. One of the main new features is the Additive Manufacturing Village in Hall 4—a village dedicated to additive manufacturing (3D printing) for defense, where approximately fifteen specialized companies will be showcased. This zone illustrates the capability for rapid production directly near operational areas and reinforces the theme of industrial sovereignty.

Eurosatory Lab remains a hub for innovation—it brings together startups and small and medium-sized enterprises with disruptive technologies that are already transforming the modern battlefield (AI, new materials, miniaturization, etc.).

A rich supporting program

Visitors can look forward to over 100 lectures, keynote speeches, and roundtables featuring political representatives, military commanders, and industry leaders. Live technology demonstrations will be inspired by real-world scenarios: trench warfare, drone integration in 3D space, close-quarters combat (CQB), and responses to hybrid threats.
