At Eurosatory 2024 in Paris, the Isreali company Rafael would present its integrated, combat-proven defense solutions, advanced ISR and digitalization, and our latest generation of precision-strike capabilities, focusing on Rafael’s unprecedented land maneuver performance. But Israeli companies were banned from the event.

Update:

"Never in the history of land warfare have so many tanks and APCs maneuvered in such highly condensed and hostile arenas, being shot at by such a wide array of advanced threats, and with so few casualties. The combination of Active-Protection with Passive & Reactive Armor are not only lifesavers, but more than anything – they are mission enablers." The company will be presenting its TROPHY Active Protection System, modular C-UAS solutions, the SAMSON Remote Weapon Station family, Land-Based Multilayered Air and Missile Defense and C-RAM systems including the IRON DOME and DAVID's Sling or the SPYDER family which will shortly become the backbone of the Czech Republic's air defense.

SPYDER All in One

Precision-Strike systems include the SPIKE family for both land vehicles and helicopters, and the ICE BREAKER, a long-range, autonomous, precision-guided weapon system enabling significant attack performance against a variety of high-value land and sea targets. RAFAEL also designs a variety of Battlefield ISR and Digitalization products, including the SPECTRA SIGINT system: "In complex battle arenas it is essential to collect and analyze vast amounts of up-to-the-minute intelligence covering immense geographical areas. RAFAEL's SPECTRA sigint system fully addresses this need. Ensuring significant overmatch in any arena, the system delivers a broad array of highly sophisticated capabilities – heralding a new era in Signal Intelligence."

TROPHY Active Protection System

The TROPHY Active Protection System (APS) is presented to be the only mature, operational system in the World. The system transforms any combat platform into an ultra-modern, highly lethal, and survivable machine – enabling exceptional maneuverability for forces in the field. Assured of their safety, ground units are free to rapidly advance and strike, allowing mission completion and uninterrupted combat continuity. TROPHY system can be integrated with all vehicle classes – tanks or APCs, wheeled, tracked, MBTs, and 8x8s – and is the only fully-integrated APS fielded by NATO. Fully tested, qualified, and extensively combat-proven in hot zones around the world, TROPHY integrations include the US Army’s Abrams MBTs, Israel’s Merkava MBTs and Namer APCs, the UK’s Challenger MBTs, and Germany’s Leopard 2 MBTs.

TROPHY APS

The system’s contribution to ground maneuver has been dramatic and of enormous value to the ground forces’ ability to meet their missions even when carried out deep inside enemy territory. TROPHY has made a historic impact on the way ground maneuver is conducted. The fact that the system proves itself every time anew on the battlefield plays a significant role in the decision-making of the tactical command ranks as well as of the decision-making ranks at the strategic level. Manufacturing, production and support is done globally and in Israel. In Europe, EuroTrophy is the hub for the local community.

SPYDER family

Operational, with over 15 years of proven success, SPYDER is the choice of eight of the world’s most sophisticated armed forces including the Czech Republic, the first NATO member to deploy SPYDER systems. The SPYDER Family of short- to long-range mobile, quick-reaction, combat-proven Air Defense Systems includes: SPYDER SR, SPYDER MR SPYDER LR, SPYDER ER and the newest member, SPYDER All-in-One. They rapidly neutralizes aircraft, UAVs, and precision guided munitions. It is now enhanced with a sophisticated counter-TBM (tactical ballistic missile) capability. Flexible, customizable, and transportable by aircraft, the New Generation SPYDER, based on Open Architecture, integrates advanced new sensors, effectors, and launcher configurations which can be flexibly combined. SPYDER's precision interceptor missiles – the PYTHON 5 with dual-band Imaging Infra-Red (IIR) and CCD Seeker, and the I-DERBY ER with a 2-pulse rocket motor for longer ranges – can be tailored to operational and mission requirements.

IRON BEAM

IRON BEAM is a 100kW class High Energy Laser Weapon System (HELWS) that is expected to become the first operational system in its class. It quickly and effectively engages and neutralizes a wide array of threats from a range of hundreds of meters to several kilometers. Engaging at the speed of light, IRON BEAM has an unlimited magazine, with almost zero cost per interception, and causes minimal collateral damage. Complementing RAFAEL’s IRON DOME, it can be integrated with a range of platforms and can become part of any multilayer defense system. RAFAEL is considered a global leader in the field, developing Directed Energy systems including HEL systems for over 30 years. The company works closely with Israel’s Defense Ministry and serves as the HEL National Center for Excellence and the National Lethality Lab.

DRONE DOME

DRONE DOME is an end-to-end, combat-proven, modular, off-the-shelf Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) that provides all-weather, 360° rapid defense against hostile drones. Detecting even small targets at over 3.5km distances, the system neutralizes and intercepts with soft & hard kill, inflicting minimal damage to the surrounding environment with maximum safety to friendly aircraft. The comprehensive solution integrates a radar, SIGINT/RF sensor, EO Speed ER sensor, jammer, and C4I Center. In the DRONE DOME laser-based variant, during the intercept phase, the laser director receives the target position from the C4I, which allocates it to the laser beam effector. It then locks onto and tracks the target, and within a few seconds, the laser beam is transmitted and destroys the target.
