Saab has signed a contract with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) for the Slovak Ministry of Defence to deliver a comprehensive Warfare Live Training Simulator System (WLTSS).
With NATO’s growing demand for interoperable and rapidly deployable defence capabilities, the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) provides Allied nations with an efficient and powerful procurement pathway.
In a recent example of this collaboration, Saab has secured a contract with NSPA for the Slovak Ministry of Defence to deliver a comprehensive Warfare Live Training Simulator System (WLTSS). Valued at approximately SEK 160 million, this agreement highlights Saab’s leadership in advanced training solutions and underscores NSPA’s vital role as a strategic partner for multinational defence procurement.

The WLTSS is designed to equip the Slovak Territorial Forces with state-of-the-art training technology, supporting up to 725 soldiers across individual weapons and support weapons systems. The system delivers unprecedented realism through integrated mortar and artillery simulations, combined with sophisticated observer and controller (O/C) tools that enhance the quality and effectiveness of training exercises. A key feature of the WLTSS is its deployability, enabling the Slovak armed forces to conduct advanced realistic training across multiple training areas throughout Slovakia. This flexibility ensures that territorial forces can maintain high operational readiness across the entire country.
Rapid Delivery and Operational Excellence
Demonstrating Saab's commitment to customer success, the contract features an ambitious delivery schedule, underscoring Saab’s operational efficiency, with deliveries during 2026. Furthermore, enabling start of training within less than one month after contract signing, a leasing solution for a smaller system has been contracted for use until delivery of the first lot.

NSPA as a Strategic Partnership Framework
“This contract reflects our commitment to delivering innovative training solutions that enhance the operational readiness of our customers. Saab’s world-leading Live training solution (the GAMER system) represents the pinnacle of modern training technology, and it will significantly improve the training effectiveness and soldier preparedness of the Slovak Territorial Forces” said Joakim Alhbin, head of Saab’s business unit Training & Simulation. This contract is part of the trusted multinational NSPA (NATO Supply & Procurement Agency) framework. The dialogue and interactions between the parties have been effective and professional throughout the process, resulting in a world-class solution for the customer.
